Getting a job in Australia is not an easy task, but it is not very difficult either. Unfortunately translating the curriculum from Spanish to English is not an option. When you do this we fall into typical mistakes such as having a very long resume, using diplomas, positions and functions that do not exist in Australia and therefore are not familiar to Australian companies and above all do not show your professional experience.
So when you are creating your resume for the Australian market, you have to consider the following:
1. You must pass the 6-second filter:
This filter is the most important, companies normally receive many resumes a day and spend a minimum time of 6 seconds to select whether or not that applicant caught their attention. This is when the format you use for your resume plays a big role, depending on your career and the amount of relevant information you put into it.
2. You must add in diplomas that exist in Australia:
If you are looking for a position in digital marketing, a great help is to put diplomas on marketing that are recognized in Australia. You should not put a literal translation of your diploma in English, but rather the equivalent diploma in Australia. So look for your diploma at Australian universities to understand equivalency.
3. You must put the names of positions and functions that exist here:
